Large Bathroom Rugs
My female cat pees on blankets, pillows, sheets. What can I do to get her to stop?
She was adopted from a rescue group. We have 2 males (brothers). She gets comfortable with one, but the other likes to scare her. He bites her and chasing her. She did not urinate at the time. She later pees on a carpet, we have on the sofa for cats to hang up. Or, on the bathroom rugs. We have 3 large secondary pans in the basement for the cats to use and they are cleaned every day. She is a sweet cat, but very overweight. I have to wash her butt at least every other day or every day. I do not like having to do it, but I think it is pee, there really is something to be a problem. I know we can not give her away with this problem. I can not give her up because I feel responsible for her care. She must have been about 8 months old and just spayed when we adopted her. Has anyone had a problem like this and what can I do about it?
I can tell, that you love her, so do not give her up. Rescued pets often have psychological problems which may result in urination and defication in the most undesirable places, there may be many reasons why the war zone that she just does not like the room you are appointed to her litter box. My advice would be to give her her own room or get a kennel. Almost as house training a puppy, she will not do this, is her own special room (it is also useful to find out if she has a medical problem, or if she can not control where she Tinkles) see her frequently when you let her out, catching her in the act when you can and retrain her to her litter box.
