Purple Bathroom Towels
Should the bathroom and bedroom fittings match?
I "re-doing our bathroom (which is in our bedroom). By do I just mean new bath mats, shower, curtains, and towels. The décor in our bedroom are blues. I am curious if I should try to match the bathroom to the bedroom. My Instict say thats would be too much blue, but I'm afraid if I do something completely different in the bathroom it will act tacky. I thought of doing the bathroom in red and purple, but darker colors because the bedroom is usually light blues. What do you think? Or what is the norm? We have no natural light in our bathroom because we live in an apt. We have 2 windows in our bedroom, and it is as far as natural. In our bathroom We have a page that's all mirrors with about 4 large bright mirrors lining the top
Keep it simple. You want the colors from the bedroom to the bathroom to just sort of flow. No, they need not be a perfect match, but it would be best to keep it within the same color family. You can even go with white, which really is a good color to use the bathroom because you can bleach them. You can use primarily white towels, but a pair of beautiful blue decorative towels. It would look really beautiful with a large white towel folded over a towel rack with a beautiful dark blue towel over the top on. Then just add a few splashes of blue with accents. A picture or a few candles. If you have tie-backs on shower curtains use a pretty blue ribbon instead. I love the look of blue and white together. It gives such a clean and simple look.
